    p -> ppp -> v -> e

passion -> practice, practice, practice -> virtuosity -> ecstasy

Find your passion – practice with the goal of effortless virtuosity (your passion/inspiration will carry you there), which, once attained, creates ecstasy.

We all have passions, it is an essential part of the human condition. And many passions at that – whether it is music, art, reading, hiking, sport, sailing, science, stargazing, physics, mathematics, astrophysics, cooking, family, relationships, etc etc.

We therefore have numerous, if not innumerable, pathways to ecstasy, stairways to heaven. A treasure trove of the experience of ecstasy. We have but to open the door.

    10/22/24

Nietzsche exhorted us to live our lives as a creative work of art.

The Dao teaches us that effortless virtuosity is achieved through practice, practice practice.

Gadamer teaches us that virtuosity transports us to ecstasy, as in a virtuoso pianist of violinist transporting us to ecstasy through the beauty of music.

We practice to the point of virtuosity that which we are passionate about.

The Dao likewise teaches us that tai chi, the supreme ultimate passion, is to be one, to be in balance, with the universe.

    Find your passion.

    Practice it.

As you walk the path to virtuosity, therein you will find ecstasy

and pass your wisdom on to others

    like a boddhisattva

    enlightened

and then using your energy for the benefit and enlightenment of others,

    karuna – compassionate engagement

tikkun olam – healing the universe

    bodhisattva, saint, tzaddik…omm

being one with the vibration of the universe,

    the music of the spheres.

wuwei – effortless virtuosity. A concept of the Dao De, the way of virtue.

The dao teaches the way to virtuosity is practice, practice, practice. Think of the concert pianist, or violin soloist, who, by virtue of hours of practice, attains virtuosity. In so doing, s/he attains the ability to transform performance to transport their listeners to a state of ecstasy by experiencing the aesthetic beauty of the music.

Similarly, no matter what your passion, through practice, you can attain wuwei, effortless virtuosity, opening the way to the experience of ecstasy.

Accordingly, there are as many paths to ecstasy, as there are passions to practice.
